Westwater designs are delivered on a fixed cycle that you choose, each release forming part of an ongoing archive of our designs.

The Size. Our signature 15×30cm format, refined through real salon use. Long enough to comfortably carry a full length tip-out, yet controlled enough to manage regrowth with precision at every length. It’s a balanced proportion, considered, practical, and proven to sit perfectly within everyday colour work. Simply, the most reliable working size in the salon.

The Grip. It's structural. Thousands of raised contact points, each one creating mechanical resistance against the hair strand. Your section stays exactly where you placed it. Product distributes evenly across the surface. Grip that's consistent however you work. You'll just feel the difference.

The Weight. The Westwater signature weight is chosen with precision in mind. It responds evenly to heat, supporting accurate, predictable lift. It moulds closely to the section and stays exactly where it’s placed. The contact between foil and hair is cleaner, tighter, and more controlled.

Threaded through the design are the words: “The beauty you see in everything is a reflection of the beauty in you”, a sentiment that sits at the heart of what we do. As hairdressers, we instinctively see the beauty in every client, and through our work, we help bring that forward, shaping not just how they look, but how they see themselves.

The Retreat is also an ode to our own Westwater Retreat Salon. The unique experience and atmosphere at Westwater Retreat mean clients return not just for their hair, but for the sense of belonging, familiarity, and the feeling of something special each time they walk through the door ~ much like the unique experience each and every salon creates.

The artwork on The Retreat release illustrates two brolgas which are a familiar presence at Westwater Retreat, often noticed by clients as they arrive for their appointments. They’ve become part of the space, part of the ritual, part of the story. The two figures represent my two daughters. Every element has been hand illustrated, carrying the essence of our very own Westwater Retreat into something tangible.

All orders come with tracking. Once your parcel is dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking number by email so you can follow its journey.

1. Are Westwater foils suitable for balayage, foilyage, and full head?

Yes. Each sheet measures 150x300mm, the Westwater signature size, designed to suit balayage, foilyage, full head, and root retouches without trimming. The width gives generous coverage for sectioning, and the length holds enough product for longer hair.


2. How does the pop-up dispenser work?

The Retreat is a pop-up format, which means each sheet is interleaved so pulling one releases the next. There's no peeling, no fumbling, and no foils sticking together mid-application. Set the box on your trolley, take the corner of the top sheet, and the next one rises ready for use.

As the box empties, the remaining foils naturally sit lower and become harder to reach. The Retreat's lock-in base solves this. Once you're nearing the bottom, engage the base and it permanently lifts the remaining foils to a comfortable working height and locks in place. No collapsing, no reaching, no breaking your flow to fish for the next sheet.


3. Do the foils hold up under bleach and lightener without tearing?

Yes. The Retreat is engineered for heavy professional use with bleach, lightener, and permanent colour. The foil holds shape under product weight, resists tearing during placement and removal, and maintains a clean structure through processing time.


4. What does the embossing actually do?

The Westwater signature embossing serves two purposes. Visually, it is the design detail you'll recognise on every Westwater release. Functionally, the texture grips the hair, helping each foil hold its position through the application without slipping as you work.


5. Can I cancel my Foil Club subscription anytime?

Yes. The Foil Club auto-renews at the frequency you choose: every month, every two months, or every three months. You can skip a delivery, change your frequency, or cancel anytime through your account. There are no minimum terms and no exit fees.
