Welcome to The Retreat, the first design in the Westwater Foil Co Core Collection.

Built on an in-house aluminium composition engineered for better flex and strength. Combined with our signature pearlescent finish, laid down through the printing process itself, it softens the foil so it feels better and more controllable in hair from the first fold. You'll feel more in control and never look back .

Backed by real salon experience, stylists reported cleaner lifts, faster processing, greater flexibility while working in complex sections, improved moulding around the hair and a noticeably better feel in hand.

Never fold foils again, every foil comes pre-folded. Each foil has an 18mm fold along the bottom, folded onto the print, so you can paint straight onto the silver side.

The Retreat is dedicated to every salon and stylist who gives their clients a moment to step away, a retreat from the demands of day to day life.

Threaded through the design: "The beauty you see in everything is a reflection of the beauty in you." As hairdressers, we shape not just how our clients look, but how they see themselves. That's a gift worth being proud of.

The Retreat is also an ode to our own Westwater Retreat Salon. The atmosphere means clients return for more than their hair: it's the sense of belonging and familiarity when they walk through the door, in the same way every salon does in its own unique way.

The artwork illustrates two brolgas, a familiar presence at Westwater Retreat and part of the ritual for clients arriving at their appointments. The two figures represent my two daughters. Every element is hand illustrated, carrying the essence of our own Westwater Retreat into something tangible.

Are Westwater foils suitable for balayage, foilyage, and full head?
Yes. Each sheet is 15 x 30cm, our signature size, built to handle balayage, foilyage, full heads and root retouches all without a single foil size adjustment. The width gives you room to section properly, the length covers you for all possibilities

How does the Lift and Lock system work?
As the box empties, the remaining foils sit lower and get harder to reach. That's what Lift and Lock is for: an internal tray with locking support tabs that you engage as you near the bottom. It permanently lifts what's left to a comfortable working height and locks in place. No collapsing, no reaching, no breaking your flow.

Do the foils hold up under bleach and lightener without tearing?
Yes. The Retreat is built for heavy professional use with bleach, lightener, and permanent colour. It holds its shape under product weight, resists tearing through placement and removal, and stays clean and structured through processing time.

What makes Westwater's foil composition different?

What does the embossing do?
Westwater's signature embossing texture grips the hair, so each foil holds its position through application instead of slipping as you work.

How many foils come in a box, and what sizes are available?
500 sheets per box. Available as a Single Box, Stylist Pack (6 boxes), or Salon Pack (12 boxes).

The Weight - It's technical.

The Westwater signature weight was chosen for precision. It responds faster to heat, which means more accurate, predictable lift.

It moulds closer to the section, the contact between foil and hair is cleaner, tighter, more controlled.

The Grip - It's structural.

Thousands of raised contact points, each one creating mechanical resistance against the hair strand. Your section stays exactly where you place it.

Product distributes evenly across the surface. Grip that's consistent however you work. You'll feel the difference.

The Size - It's the best all rounder.

Most pre-cut foil on the market was sized around a machine default rather than a decision. It was short enough to be economical, narrow enough to suit a standard parting.

Neither was designed around the full range of what a colourist actually does in a working day.

Really nice foils. Been trialing them for a couple weeks after receiving a PR box and I can say they have performed well. I’ll be switching to these from now on!

We got selected to trial these foils out and have been using them since May. I like how they feel compared to my other foil, so pretty too!

I’ve been given a couple of boxes to trial in my salon over the last couple of months and I have absolutely fallen in love with this foil. I love the print but more than that I love the feel. It just feels better than what I’m used to, it’s hard to explain, it feels like I can control it more and I’m finding myself not worrying about bleeds as much. I’m really enjoying it can’t wait to see more prints!
